General Information
The British Live Fire Cooking Championships (BLFCC) is promoted by Kadai Ltd (Company No. 07569225), whose registered office is at Home Farm, Leebotwood, Church Stretton, Shropshire, England, SY6 6LX. By entering the competition, all participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Eligibility
Employees of Kadai Ltd, their immediate family members, and any individuals associated with the judging panel or event hosts are not eligible to enter. All entrants must be 18 years or older at the time of entry.
Entry & Selection Process
Entries close at 23:59 on 21st April 2025. No entries will be accepted after this deadline. Entry is via an online form only. Semi-finalists will be selected by Kadai Ltd, and their decision is final. No feedback will be provided to entrants who do not progress. If you are selected as one of the 15 semi-finalists, you will be contacted via your preferred method of contact. Failure to respond within the specified timeframe may result in forfeiture of your place. The finalists will be the 3 entrants selected by Kadai Ltd from the 6 chosen through the public vote. By voting, voters agree to these Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy on this website. Voters also consent to being added to the mailing lists of Kadai Ltd and Ludlow Marches Food and Drink Festival.
Competition Requirements & Commitments
Entrants must be available and able to travel to Ludlow from 11th to 14th September 2025. The winner must be available to travel to Indianapolis, USA, from 13th to 20th October 2025 to compete in the World Food Championships (WFC). The winner is responsible for ensuring they meet all entry requirements for the USA, including obtaining and funding their own visa or ESTA where necessary. The winner must commit to using the World Food Championship ‘golden ticket’ and registering for the WFC 2025. If a finalist is unable to attend either the Ludlow competition or the WFC in Indiana, they will be disqualified and replaced by the next highest-scoring entrant.

Competition Format
All three contestants will compete in Round One on Friday night and Round Two on Saturday morning. After Round Two, the contestant with the lowest combined score will be eliminated, leaving two finalists to compete in Sunday’s final battle. Assistants & Clothing Requirements Each finalist may bring one assistant to help them cook and prepare their final dishes on stage. Finalists and their assistants must wear the official BLFCC clothing and aprons provided and are not permitted to bring their own merchandise. Cooking & Time Limits Finalists will have 15 minutes to heat their Kadai once the timer starts. During this time, contestants: May light their Kadai using the provided fire-starting equipment. May begin food preparation. We can not place any food on the Kadai grill. Once the 15 minutes is over, contestants will have: 30 minutes for Round One and Round Two. 1 hour for the final. Cooking Equipment & Fire Safety Contestants must cook exclusively on the Kadai firebowls provided. Only wood or charcoal (provided by BLFCC) may be used as fuel. Contestants will be provided with a range of Kadai cooking equipment, which must be requested in advance. Contestants may bring their own equipment, but it must pass a safety check and be approved by the Kadai team before use.

Prizes
The overall winner will receive a 'Golden Ticket' entry into the World Food Championships (WFC) 2025 in the USA. No cash alternatives will be offered for any prize. Prizes are non-transferable. Prizes are subject to availability, and the promoters reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal value without prior notice. The promoters' decision in respect of all matters relating to the competition is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Use of Content & Publicity
All finalists agree to the use of their name and social media handle in any publicity material by Kadai Ltd and Ludlow Food Festival. All entrants agree to allow Kadai Ltd to repurpose content submitted or posted regarding the competition. Finalists agree to be photographed and videoed throughout the weekend at Ludlow Food Festival and during the World Food Championships in the USA. All photos and videos captured will remain the property of Kadai Ltd and may be used in marketing and promotional materials. All entrants agree to allow Kadai Ltd to repurpose content submitted or posted regarding the competition. Finalists agree to the use of their name and social media handle in publicity materials. Finalists agree to be filmed and photographed throughout the competition at Ludlow Food Festival and the World Food Championships (WFC) in the USA. All media captured remains the property of Kadai Ltd and may be used in marketing and promotional materials.

Data Protection & Privacy
All entrants consent to their data being used by Kadai Ltd and Ludlow Marches Food and Drink Festival and to be added to each respective mailing list. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. Personal data will not be disclosed to any unrelated third parties without the entrant’s prior consent. All entrants consent to their data being used by Kadai Ltd and Ludlow Marches Food and Drink Festival for marketing and mailing lists. Personal data will be handled in accordance with UK data protection laws and will not be shared with third parties unrelated to the competition.
Liability & Disclaimers
Kadai Ltd, Ludlow Marches Food and Drink Festival, and event organisers accept no responsibility for injury, illness, or accidents that occur during the competition, except in cases of direct negligence. Contestants are responsible for their own safety when handling fire, cooking equipment, and ingredients. The event organisers reserve the right to: Disqualify any entrant found in breach of these Terms & Conditions. Modify, suspend, or cancel the competition in unforeseen circumstances beyond their control.
Additional
Kadai Ltd reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these Terms & Conditions without notice in the case of any event outside of the promoter’s control. Entry into the competition constitutes full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook, Instagram, or any other social network. The promoters’ decision on all matters is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into. Entry into the competition constitutes full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
